Ah must be then. Oh well shouldn't complain about a decent saving :hehe: Keeps some funds back to cover towards the upcoming renewal of the brake lines :)

This is absoloute madness - never known such a fuss over such a simple item!

So with the second set, the seller is taking his damn sweet time in getting back to me, and has said if i want them replaced, i need to pay for the returns postage (which will cost £8+, more than i paid for the items)

So going to keep the 106 one's and get to a motor factors tomorrow.

Been reading this last couple of days and its just occured to me that i bought a full gti suspension setup for my cti off speno last summer and bought new drop links to go with it, I better check mine although its obviously too late to do anything about it if i've been sent 106 links too pffff. As you can gather i havent got round to fitting any of it yet

The seller just in contact; told me to keep the items with a full refund.

Thats the second now; so i'm left with 3 X 106 droplinks and 1 X 205 droplink.

You get a good discount. I got some at trade price and paid roughly £14 each I think it was from a motaquip factor. Forget what retail was.

I've managed to get genuine ones off ebay on the cheap, even the full priced Pug item isn't that bad as they last a very long time! False economy buying anything else IMO.

Balljoints!!!! mine have got M12 threads on one end too so yet another problem in my way, are they the same length as 106 links? If they are ill just drill out the strut mounts to suit.

The advert for mine has a reference number 5087.40 which servicebox is showing as a 405 part :/ are they all the same?

that's not a 405 part number, they're 5087 27 on a 405, are half the length and have no balljoints.

5087 32 is the 205/309 number.

They were listed at £50 a week ago so a tiny increase, although still a decent saving on brand new individual ones :)
