Mi16 Intake Manifold Cad Model

Recommended Posts

DRTDVL

Hi Guys,

I've managed to score a set of 45mm Toyota 4age throttle bodies for free...

I was wondering if anyone has the intake manifold plate as a cad model, we are thinking about making our own intake manifold up for the fun of it and figured i'd ask if anyone has a model of the plate before i model one up as it's summer here and i'd rather be at the beach than behind the computer modelling something up.

If not i'll make a model up myself.

well turns out after measuring them last night they are 43mm not 45 like we where told, but oh well they where free...

A friend of mine has a company in china which they use a lot for their business and we are going to cost up getting an adapter manifold for the mi16 to 4age throttles made by them, he's just had a bunch of parts made by them recently which where stupidly cheap and a lot more complicated than these will be so it will be interesting to see the prices on the quote.

How easily can you get an rfs inlet? Or an mi, and is the spacing of the bodies close to the spacing of the runners?

I'm not sure what you mean by rfs inlet....

I've got the mi on my car at the moment and probably could get a 2nd one on loan to model from without removing mine.

The 4age bodies are individual unattached bodies so spacing isn't a problem, spacing them further apart will just mean some work on the linkages... the spacing from what we have been able to quickly workout is 94mm on the mi16 and 87.5mm on the toyota's so we will be playing with the linkages to get the ports straight... We have sent the rough model for qouting with the runners going from mi16 to toyota spacing so we wouldn't need to alter the linkages.
