I remember many years ago, bunking work and treating myself to a morning out at my local breakers.

This happens quite often with me...

I have had to use a ball of string as it is quite difficult scaling down from three cars high with cumbersome parts, so used it to lower them without dropping them.

That socket tray fits "all sizes" looks epic, most defiantly buying my self one of them.

No, LHD car had gone. They have had a right clear out. Loads scrapped.

There is something highly enjoyable spending time at a descent scrap yard without actually needing anything.

Enjoy!

Glad I'm not the only sad one then! Me and friend once spent a entire afternoon looking around Grist Groups yard in Westbury (massive place)

No, LHD car had gone. They have had a right clear out. Loads scrapped.

I hate it when they do that, at the above yard they used to have 2 diesel turbos, a GTI and half a dozen base models, all but 1 gone a few months ago :(

I think it's also quite important to consider wearing some very long socks incase you find yourself trampling through nettles and such like. Perhaps combined with loose fitting trousers for ease of movement.

a set of pads to protect your legs from the scrap yard dog that follows you around then suddenly fancies a piece of you when you are trying to get at some hard to get at parts!!!.......Yes AUTSPARES in taunton road this is your scraggy mutt im talking about!!!

Bridges is my local one.

It's really commercial now, with lots of insurance stroage space etc.

But still a good place to go with a pretty good range.

The son (Geoff) who now runs it is good to know if you want to do some deals.
