Sump Guard Fitting

Recommended Posts

Tom Fenton

The tubular bit bolts in to the front panel "ears", then the guard bolts up to that. If you offer it up to the car it should all become clear.

cheers, that is the way the sump guard is fitted on my old car but this new sump guard comes with 2 brackets for the front

what I want to know is do I cut the "ears" off and weld them on to the chassis where the ears were?

saw that when I did a search, its done the same way as my old car, will probably do this one the same.

with the car stripped to a bare shell its not easy to be sure it will fit properly

don't want to go chopping bits off it then find the engine sits on the sump guard
