306 Hubs,brake Upgrade

Ive a 1.6 gti 205,the brakes are'nt the best,as most of you probably now, ive searched on this forum.

 

Im planning on using 1.9 speedlines

 

I know the hub offset can foul the cailiper against the wheel with bigger conversions i.e 283mm

Does it foul with a 266mm setup?

 

Does it still foul with 1.6 hubs and 1.9 wheels?

 

And anyone who has driven both,is there much difference between a 266 and a 283 setup

 

Is the 1.6 master cylinder capable of running the bigger brakes,without the pedal sinking to the floor?

 

 

If i were to change hubs, i know i have to get base model hubs to work with the 1.6 shafts, what is the major visual differences? just to make sure im getting the correct ones?

 

I have a set of 306 td hubs,would these work? or would they destroy the cars handling?
