What Fuel Pipe Is Everyone Using

Recommended Posts

shooter mcgavin

I'm going to be replacing the fuel lines on my 2.0L 8v turbo project and was thinking on some heat resistant braided pipe to run up past the turbo and from the filter to fuel rail. The metal pipe on the floor don't really look too great so was thinking about running the same from the tank.

Seen loads per meter on eBay but don't want to end up buying twice if its crap. Also not sure what dia I'll need.

Anyone have any experience with this

Some good stuff there, says the s/s braided pipe is not suitable near heat source ie turbo

For the underbody metal pipes, I use new oe peugeot pipe cut to length & shaped to fit the original route.

Total cost to do them both including the filter end union is about £25.

I used some ebay flexi fuel hose from the tank to the pipe & it needed replacing again within six months so I used the original hose again instead.

Original size is 7mm fuel pipe.
