Air Flow Meter Question

my 205 needs a new air flow meter as the original one was tampered with, i will be fitting a k&n 57i induction kit so my question is do a still have to get a new air flow meter if i will be fitting the induction kit?

the ones for 1.6 say from 84 to 87 ..mines 90 will that matter?

no, same part number.

 

you could send yours off to ATP electronics, any AFM equipped vehicle I have seen with a remanufactured AFM I can remember had one of their stickers on it.

 

no idea of their current price, but mine cost £150 a few years ago.

i had no idea they would be so expensive, its not effecting the drivability that much..might try and find second hand one

what price do you place on something being nice to drive and more economical? :D

 

IF you found a dealer with one in stock, it'd be three times that, plus vat :o

and i nearly went through the floor when i got the bill for the one for my corolla :D your talking €200 by the time its converted to euro! i'm considering running webers so i'm not sure if it'd be worth it!

Why would you need an new or re-manufactured AFM if the one on your car works good ?

 

Just book a RR and do the air/fuel mixture adjustment via AFM ...

i was told by the previous owner it will need to be changed as it was tampered with resulting in the car idling rough!
