B Pillar Decal

Recommended Posts

Projectuno

Hi

Anyone know where I can purchase these for both sides of the car? These are the black matt decals that are applied to the area of the door frame where you typically hold when opening the door and on the b pillar next to the rear windows.

AutoFive used to stock them I believe.

If it is Peugeot main dealer, could someone pass me the part number?

Many thanks,

David

Just get some matt black self adhesive vinyl (ebay). Stick it on and trim to size. Or spray it with satin black paint.

Thanks guys, I really do want the original Peugeot decals. They fit just right and are as Peugeot intended.

I have a completely OEM 23,000 mile car, hence want to retain its value with standard fitment parts...appreciate this all sounds a bit anal!

Pointlessly anal, to be frank.

If done right, you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the original vinyl and a new piece trimmed to fit.

I'm afraid there's lots of things you are going to have to compromise on, and accept reproduction parts etc, if you want to keep your low miler looking good and going well.

As for the vinyl, Peugeot would be your best bet. Doubt you can get them anymore, but you might be lucky. I know some people have suggested using 306 ones in the past, but since they would need trimming too, I doubt you'll want to go down that route.

Both part numbers are now no longer available from Peugeot. They were 8659 fr, 8659 fs, 8659 ft, and 8659 Fv. As said above either a good graphics place or paint them. The ones on my 22,000 mile car are more of a satin finish though,(maybe due to their age) but what I have done before is have a professional bodyshop paint the black area with the satin black paint code for Toyota landcruiser door tops. This looks good and then there is no creases or water getting underneath and lifting the vinyl.
