Replacement Roof?

Recommended Posts

Anton green

Has anybody replaced a roof panel on here?

At present my 205 has a riveted plate in place, but it would be nice to have the usual aesthetically pleasing one piece panel in place.

Is it a realistic job to do or quite involved?

There was a thread where a entire roof was replaced with a carbon item. From memory the car now has a 1.1 tu 8v and a front exit exhaust! Cant remember the owners name sorry!

It has been shown in more than one topic.

Slightly involving but perfectly feasible thing to do.

It would have been Carl Chambers who bonded a carbon skin onto the roof of his 205 to cover up the sunroof.

I've swapped them before, not a massive amount to it really.

The hardest part IMHO is the separating of the A pillars.

I have some pics on my photobucket account click the link below.

http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=130231 Suggests the cost will be approximately similar for a roof skin in either painted metal, or carbon fibre, which will be something I will hopefully be weighing up early next year after my engine/ecu springs in to life.
