Anton green 12 1 Cars Posted December 28, 2012 Has anybody replaced a roof panel on here? At present my 205 has a riveted plate in place, but it would be nice to have the usual aesthetically pleasing one piece panel in place. Is it a realistic job to do or quite involved? dcc 855 Posted December 28, 2012 There was a thread where a entire roof was replaced with a carbon item. From memory the car now has a 1.1 tu 8v and a front exit exhaust! Cant remember the owners name sorry!

cybernck 402 1 Cars Posted December 28, 2012 It has been shown in more than one topic. Slightly involving but perfectly feasible thing to do.
Anton green 12 1 Cars Posted December 28, 2012 For the sake of the searchers, I found this: http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=54507&page=3 Seems to cover the basics over the course of the thread inbetween the waffle.
Henry Yorke 269 3 Cars Posted December 28, 2012 It would have been Carl Chambers who bonded a carbon skin onto the roof of his 205 to cover up the sunroof.

I've swapped them before, not a massive amount to it really. The hardest part IMHO is the separating of the A pillars. I have some pics on my photobucket account click the link below. Anton green 12 1 Cars Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=130231 Suggests the cost will be approximately similar for a roof skin in either painted metal, or carbon fibre, which will be something I will hopefully be weighing up early next year after my engine/ecu springs in to life.
