Aerials...

As above really, noticed this morning mine leaks.. Its an aftermarket stubby one though so id like to replace it with a whippy oem one..

 

Are they still avaible new or does anyone have any tips as i have no clue about sound systems or stuff like that.

yes still available, same part base was user on newer vehicles.

 

the original 205 one is 420mm, and about £15, but there's a much cheaper 850mm long one used on 306's, about £6.

thanks, might get the cheaper one as really long aerials are funnier and in my eyes look more oem for the time haha

Did they not change the design of the aerial? They seem to be different on mine and gf's cars....

the other three designs listed are NFP, you'll only get the one part for a 205.

You might want to try sealing new one with tiny line of silicone or similar on installation - the seals perish way too easy, I've seen it on a 3 year old mazda...

When I ordered a replacement I think I got Pug306 units, which are quite tidy in appearance. With this, the base and the whip are separate. I believe I filled the base with clear silicone upon application and they are fairly straight forward to fit -you need access from beneath (from what I recall) to undo a slim copper fastening nut which is, iirc behind the interior light fixture.
