Lowering Springs

Recommended Posts

minimaniacwhyard

successfully lowered the rear of my car today thanks to some help from here and various other places. just need some front springs now. will gti springs fit a base model 205 as i have a 1.1 at the moment. the gti springs seem more readily available and cheaper. still needs spraying and tidying up though. this is the 205 as standard height and flat paint. its just my little project

They will physically fit as all 205's use the same diameter front spring as standard but due to the different spring rates between the two models & engien + tgearbox weight they might not lower it as much as you'd expect, if at all.

Tuning.co.uk sell 40mm and 60mm springs for the Tu engined 205 for a good price. I've got them on mine and I'm pretty happy with them.

309 gti 40mm springs will lower a base model 20mm so no use!
