Help Me Identify My Wheels!

Recommended Posts

ablister

Hi,

These wheels were fitted to my 205 when i bought it (quickly replaced with 1.9 speedlines ;)) but have yet to identify them! I think they are wolfrace or similar but after endless searching of images of wheels, i've given up looking.

There were no centre caps and have no ID marks on them. I'm still going to keep them as they have good tyres on them and have an inkling to paint them orange a la porsche 911 gt3 rs ;) as a bit of fun

I would've said Wolfrace at first too :).

They easily may be no-names / replicas, but they seem based on Wolfrace design:

yeah, at first glance i thought they were mine until i realised mine don't have 'wolfrace' on the rim :(

The boy originally bought them as he fitted gti6 brakes and thought the 1.9 wheels wouldn't fit due to the stick on balance weights so bought these instead...

Wolfrace only started putting their name on them in later years. There were two types of Voodoo, one with writing and one without

Yes, Mantis came without Wolfrace on the rim... http://www.pieseauto.ro/jante-aliaj-15/wolfrace/4x100/vand-jante-wolfrace-street-mantis-6-5x15-pret-1215084494.html

Though the ones in the original post are not these as the ends are different and Wolfrace didn't have writing on the rim.

Cheers Henry, they do look very similar but as you say the ends of the spokes are different :(

not to worry, they'll be back on the pile adding to my ever growing stock of wheels!

Why does it matter if they're actually Wolfrace or not anyway?

I wasn't bothered what make they are, it was just Wolfrace were the closest match i could find after searching myself. Was just curious as to the make and thought someone on here might be able to confirm anything

spokes may appear different due to the size of the wheel, have you taken note of any markings?

they look like a cheap set that halfords used to sell from the shop floor, made by team dynamics/rimstock.
