so would the bodged hole be causing any problems?? or is it likely to be something else

Yes, If not in the right place the timing will be out or the distance of the sensor to flywheel maybe out so not giving any reading's

before the gearbox was swapped it was running good a bit tappy but thts how it always has been since the conversion when i put the new gearbox in it hasnt been running at all well and thats when ive had it started it sounded a bit like a tracktor .

it looks like im going to have to file back the hole the sensor fits in, in a bid to try sort this issue what a freakin pain why do i have to so much bad luck when it comes to cars :mellow:

If the hole is in wrong place it wont run properly as timing will be out.

still no joy im going to swap the gearbox and hope for the best. gettin mad no another gearbox change doing my head in
