Purflux Fuel Filter Part Number

I think its time for me to change the fuel filter on my 1.6 gti, So before going out and ordering one I thought I'd have a look in my store shed as I have have a few shelves full of boxes of new fuel filters (amongst other parts) from cars that date back to well before I was born, all of which did have what they were for written on them but they have worn away.

From my mornings searching I managed to find a purflux fuel filter with the code EP 90C written on it, along with Peugeot 205, I have no catalogues around any more to cross reference which models exactly this filter will fit,

 

Anyone know how I can find out if it'll fit my 1991 1.6 Gti, before I buy a new one?

It's not a 205 GTi one unfortunately.

 

Purflux EP90C spec and applications

 

You could probably use it with some adaptation of the fuel lines, as people have done before to eliminate the risk of leakage from the banjos, but for simplicity I would just buy the correct filter and new sealling washers.
