What Spec Is The Rear Beam On The 1.9 Auto?

I might have found a car thats being broken for parts, a 70k 1.9 auto so am wondering if I can nab it for my gti

What spec beam do they have regarding arb and torsion bars? If I dont have to swap these parts it would save a lot of time and effort.

My geek hat is not working today.

It will have base model bars (18mm) and a skinny anti roll bar.

 

GTI bars are 18.9mm.

No it wont. The auto bonnet only came on the 1.6 auto not the 1.9.

Just been corrected - its a 1.6 - it does have the auto bonnet. Sadly he knows exactly how much the bonnet is worth so i'm not interested in that lol

Will see if I can do a deal on the beam. If I have to swap the torsion bars I might as well check the bearings and replace the seals etc.

Think I know that n plate car messed up body work he bought it of an old lady said he was going to brake the car months ago, I checked the rear beam and it looked really good was hopeing to get the power steering set up of it. And the prices he was asking were pettly good.
