was speaking to a guy today that had owned his 205 gti from new, full history, perfect condition, parked up and garaged for 10yrs...

then,

free'd off 1 stuck brake, mot'd 1st time... and traded in on the scrappage scheme for 2grand

Far from the only one I'm sure.

 

Frankly it was bordering on criminal the waste of so many serviceable cars, but it's all water under the bridge now.

No doubt, just seemed strange that he'd kept it so long

 

always thought there were plenty of borderline cars like mine that wiouldnt be missed, seems a shame for a good 1 to go
