Be1 Clutch Arm Link

Recommended Posts

RP1983

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can do me a favour and provide me with a photo of the clutch arm link bar on a be1 gearbox. On service box it just looks like a pin but from feeling the arm it seems it would have a ball or something on the one end.

Mine has dissapeared when I was changing my clutch cable and I can't find it anywhere, they are currently on back order from pug and after waiting a week with no joy I don't really want to wait another and still have an un driveable car so am going to make a substitute myself for the time being.

A picture would be ideal to work off but a detailed description would suffice.

As always any help would be very much appreciated.

I've got one in a box downstairs if you need me to take a picture but the size is 8mm diameter, 4.1cm long.

I just used a piece of stud bar to get me by until I could get hold of the right part, just put a radius on with a file/grinding disc. Worked a treat for a month or so!

That's pretty much what I just did, Unfortunately just found out why the part went walk abouts and the cause of my initial problem, the actual clutch arm has cracked and is twisting when you press the clutch.

I'm assuming to change the arm its a box off job, anyone confirm if this is the case?

Well that's good news at least, I assumed it was going to be nut and bolted.

I know a good welder so hopefully it'll be easily sorted.
