Hi I am looking for a new/replacment fuel pump for my 1991 1.9GTI can anyone help? either by suppplying one or letting me know where i could buy one from. Todate i have had two pumps sent but both have been wrong. they have been the white bodied pump which includes the sender unit. The type that i am looking for is one that is teh black holder/body and is screwed into teh tank by 6 screws around the top of the pump retainer.

No to sure what you mean by JPT style , but when viewing the pump body retainer from teh top it ha two leads going to white, one of teh wires is grey (ish9 in colour while the other is green with a yellow strip, the pump is housed with in a black holder/housing which is held in the tank by 6 screws , could i send you a photo, to assist in the id of the pump unit that i am looing for.

You can buy the pump alone without the housing, look at http://www.glencoeltd.co.uk/

But that type of pump is whats used in the UK market upto around 1991, after that it went to the later injector style plug
