Head Bolt Length Xu9 8V

Recommended Posts

Tom Fenton

Not got the old ones to hand, what is the correct length for XU9 8v head bolts, factors listing 168 and 175mm, does anyone know off the top or have one to hand to measure?

Thanks

Tom

I believe the shorter are the pre 87 hex head type that use a 3mm washer and 23mm above the wp, longer are the newer torx type that use an 8mm washer and 25mm spacer, should have something in the notes in the headbolt book.

I dont think so - I will have to check the packaging. But the one I had I had to turn the head down and shorten it too iirc for my 2.2.

that will be XUD, given XU9 is M11, XUD M12...
