That Moment You Forget How To Put Your Car Back Together!

Recommended Posts

Didnt really know which header to drop this into!

But can people send me detailed pictures of the engine bay... Without the engine in as i have forgot how things go back correctly! mainly been the lugs/rivets slots. and most the threads.

Also a picture of the Horn and how it fits to the car.

Wiring loom harrness clamp positions aswell.

One of the most annoying things is i have also forgot how to refit the head light fittings the one with the twisty adjuster on it!

I sat there and pondered for a good hour last night! it was like trying to fit a square into a circle!

Many thanks in advance!

What I did was spend a few hours looking at various project threads on here at 205s in various stages of assembly, and save a folder full of photos to have easily to hand :) No photo is too obscure/ random, most come in handy eventually for an odd bracket/ clip etc! Also I found looking at part diagrams on service box really helped to prompt my memory as to how bits went back together

Well ive managed to keep most of my bits together at the moment, its only these that im really stuck with..

Ive assembled all the loom with the clamps which i believe i have routed it on the correct path or at least i think it is!

The one that has puzzled me the most is the coolant pipe holder! im sure its held on with a clip and a nut.

I misunderstood the title. Ive forgotten that my car was in pieces after working late into the night. Then get up in the morning to go to work and realise its still in pieces.

welcome to my life, i've got about 10-12 boxes of bits all over the show as my 205 was a bare shell being slowly rebuilt. most stuff broke when removing it so find myself compiling lists of bits i need

i've been going through loads of project threads on here for engine bay photos and bombarding a couple of people with messages asking for help

I've got my rebuild pics on Flickr which has all the photos to remind myself, if you search under simon a2012 there are a few pages there.

Hello Alex!

Ive looked at your thread afew times now, but the engine bay picture is set to far back and i cant make out certain things!

Such as how does the colant hose pipe bracket go back on, i think if i remember rightly its held on with a clip that fits onto the rivet, and the other is a thread. But i cant honestly remember or make it owt from other people pictures.
