Brake Lights Staying On

Car has failed it's MOT due to the brake lights staying on. Pretty sure I checked all the lights a few days before. I assume the most likely candidate for the cause is the switch on the pedal. Is there are easy way to test the switch? Anything else to consider?

The switch may just need adjusting?

i think it definitely points to the switch.

 

as above it may need adjustment and may not have failed.

 

its a fairly cheap component to replace if neccessary though.

Ah! That could be a possibility as I've re-bled the brakes since I checked the lights over.
