206 Wheels On 406 Will They Fit ?

Quick question, after some winter wheels for my 406 as i have 16 inch winter tyres left over from the pulsar gtir i had last year, struggling to find 16 inch 406 wheels in the area (really wanted more of the same 16 inch nimrods the car is on now) but seem to be a fair few 206 gti wheels available....... will they fit or is the offset a problem ?

brake clearance may be an issue, the 406 runs quite low offset discs and the 406 fit Ouragan is ET20, i.e they sit 8mm further out in the arch.

 

having said that I have had 206 Ouragans on my 405, which uses the same offset hub, smaller diameter disc but still low offset.

Knew someone would say that , most are still a fair drive away and was hoping for a 100 % certainty before i set off .

I've seen several 406's on Challengers which are 6.5J17 ET31 (compared to Nimrods that are 6.5J16 ET28), without spacers.
