What's It Worth?

I wouldn't normally start threads like this as it's almost a for sale thread. Thing is I really don't know how much I should ask for my 2.1 S16 engine and wanted opinions...

 

It's done 5 - 10k miles since it was built. It made 180+ bhp at the wheels on a standard GTi-6 inlet so with ITB's it'd be near 200bhp atw.

 

Spec is:

 

S16 block bored to 87mm

diesel 88mm crank

forces wiesco pistons

shot peened rods

arp bolts

balanced bottom end

petert stage 3 inlet cam and stage 1 exhaust cam.

powder coated rocker cover

 

obviously there's a fair bit of moneys worth here, perhaps around 2k. What should I ask for it?

Don't you know what you want for it?. Why do people always have to ask others what their engines worth, you recon 2k well i would only give a couple of hundred. There for ask the price you think its worth and see if it sells, quite simple!

Obviously some folks will try to get back what they've put into a particular project but things just never work that way.Depends how long you can hold out to get what you consider to be an acceptable price.
