Handling? What is the purpose of them.

they control the motion of the spring.

They'll be a higher damping rate than standard, whether that "improves" handling is quite subjective, depends what you use it for, but it it often said that the best handling 205's is a bog standard 1.6, or XS.

Yes it adjusts the rebound side of the damping. I run them on my car and like them.

Yes indeed, I have run some on my ZX and they performed quite nicely with the standard ZX spring, still have them on the rear infact with AST on the front.

a reasonable price if they are new, RRP is around that for a front pair alone, rears are about £180 a pair.

Have a look at the STR.T stuff they sell they aren't adjustable but are uprated and are quite cheap almost a throw away set of dampers from Koni.

I have Koni on the front and rear, the yellow version. I use them on my trackday car and they are great.

As for if they can be refurb'd. Yes, they can. Koni has a service for that.

Mine always feel a bit springy, they swallow bumps and potholes up nicely, they are definatly more fast road than track.

Good seals aswell

Weeping from the adjusters is very common.

Mine are the older push down and turn leg type so no external adjustment! :D
