Defecting From The 205 Fold-2

Recommended Posts

matt.f

Decided to sell my 205 rally car build and have put a deposit down on a fully prepared satria gti with a 1600 Mivec out of a Colt Cyborg R,183bhp :D.

Will miss the 205,have had some good times with the car and it goes like stink! But for road rallies a Proton is the better car imo(well most people nowadays).205 not sold but got someone coming to view on friday so fingers crossed.

Will still come on here as its a good friendly forum.

Matt bit of info for you mate the satria will accecpt all the running gear and engine from an early evo (1,2 or 3) with not alot of work I.E no cutting or welding etc.If i rememeber correctly you only need to shorten the propshaft everything else just bolts up .

Yeah your right mate,everything fits.

No turbo allowed for road rallies so thats a no goer.

Evo 3 calipers fit though and thats a good upgrade and competition pads are actually cheaper for these than std satria brakes.

Looking for a good home for the 205,had a lot of money spent on it and got some really good bits on it and most parts are new.

Damn and there was me hoping for Lucy Pinder.....

These protons are certainly the thing for road rallying now. My brothers mate has a Jumbuck with all the Evo running gear too! It goes like stink!

I have had a proton personna in the past, enginewise it was extremely peppy and felt pretty solid!!!......just a shame that the rest of the car was so poorly put together.Mind you this was on an S-plate and so im lead to believe build quality on later cars got a lot better.Shame to see the red 205 go as i still believe in the right hands these can be competitive cars.
