Aftermarket Rev Counter For 406 Turbo Engine

Hi, I've searched through the topics regarding the 2.0 turbo engine and 205 rev counter, but my car has no original rev counter or wiring, and as its being stripped further for track use I'm looking at this:

Would this work with my car running standard ecu and ignition?? If so what wires would I need to use?

You would need to run a tacho converter to get that working I suspect.

 

As an aside, what on earth is the point of a tacho that reads up to 11k rpm on an engine that is barely happy revving to half that?

I just need a rev counter, an would prefer a multi gauge as I don't like it when cars are cluttered up with gauges
