Recommend Me A Leather Conditioner?

Recommended Posts

johnnyboy666

I've just picked up some full leathers, and although they've not got any rips or tears in the leather, they could do with a bit of tlc to get them looking better.

can anybody recommend any specific product to use, or should a just get a generic one from halfrauds/ebay?

thanks in advance

john

Gliptone liquid leather cleaner and conditioner.

Almost worth it for the smell alone, but I've used it for years and it works well providing that the seats aren't too far gone :)

The stuff in a jar from John Lewis houseware section is highly recommended.

got the gliptone cleaner and conditioner in the post yesterday, smells good! I'll give it a go on the weekend (when I've decided which set of seats I want to put in the car!)

sounds good. I decided to use the 306 full leather seats in the end rather than those £3 gentry ones off ebay (although for £3 theyll do nicely as a spare set)

I've only fitted the passenger one so far, so as with most jobs on my car, its half finished!

You need a blue rinse tight perm, a pension book and wrinkly stockings to use them beige Gentry seats John, last time I saw you only one of those things applied ;)

Get your eyes off my wrinkly stockings!

On the plus side, the bolsters are pretty good at least. I might even have a go at staining the leather a different colour, if i get round to it.
