dont you just love patern pannels

 

trying to get new headlight pannels and slam pannel lined up is a git and nothing quite fits right.

 

to top it off it doesnt look right either but its been a while since ive seen a frint end.going ti have to go hunting photos lol

Where are your pattern parts from? Looking to swap mine out immanently, but don't want to end up with turkeys as I'm not an experienced metal worker, so you prefer they fit first time

crash repair parts.used ti be imperial pannels i belive and highly recomended.

 

to be honest ive never known patern pannels be bang on.its not a million miles out just needs tezt fitting and a bit of tapping and clamping then repeat a few more times lol

It might be cheaper and easier to make your own headlight panels. Someone carved a wood moulding to get the original shape then you can use some carboard to stencil the whole peice you need for that particular job.

Know how u feel , paid 35quid for a guttman style front grill paibted it up and went to fit it , not chance lugs dont measure up , and the thibg itself is too bulky the bonnet doesnt close , Total waste of my time abd money :(

Woodwork is easy when it comes to using a chisel, making neat joints with furnature is hard. It depends if you want it to look O/E spec, you could use clay to shape it. Just need a few hammers, some cutters etc to fabricate your own, a place in Loughborough sells the steel for the job.

They've never fitted for some reason.
