Mi16 Exhaust's

Hello All,

 

Recently i have been thinking about getting a complete new exhaust for my Mi16 with is currently underway and before i actually put it in i have afew month to decide weather or not im gunna get a new exhaust.

 

Now my old exhaust is a stainless steel scorpian which bolts onto the standard manifold, somehow the boxback has little holes init which i had quickly welded over afew month to stop any blowing.

 

Now i was wondering, if i was to buy a 4-2-1 from ebay how good is the quality and would i be able to source the rest of the system? or should i go down the route of having a full exhaust created and fitted by a speciallist?

Speak to Miles about a Maniflow type manifold and system.

You'll find loads on this,

To sum it up with some basic test's of people with Bodies, Reground cams make around 185 ish with a std manifold, with the 4-2-1 you or I have seen up to 200bhp, there's a couple of designs but the basic 4-2-1 are all pretty much the same, Mine (Now re-designed with better bulkhead clearance), Spox (Same supplier) and no doubt a few others, Maniflow are the mainstream supplier, Out of Ebay I can do you a deal on them if needed

Mild steel does rust as we know so expect upto or around 8 years of service from a manifold or you can use a stainless one which will last a lifetime, never wrap a mild steel manifold as this causes scaling and will kill one in around 12 months

 

if your looking at a specialist unless they have Mi experience be wary and from the last car I had with a system (DP back)on from Powerflow a invoice for £510 for a 6" stainless system which was ****, I wish I could find people to pay silly money for things like that

Pm me a price for the full stainless manifold to back box i would like it to have a silencer in the middle and a 2inch bore on the back, but if you can recommend anything im all ears
