My Return To 205 Ownership - Hunting For History...

Recommended Posts

Jemehan

Hey guys,

I have looked around and found a 205 that i like, but it isnt local to me, wondering if anyone knows anything about or has owned this previously its reg is G883 TUW.

I believe it is a white (was 1.6) now had an engine conversion. Anyone shed any light on the history of this motor?

Cheers people!

Dan

Does seem a hell of a service history....however left on a cliff hanger for the new owner... anyone got the location of the for sale thread to see what it was actually sold running? lol. looks like a bloody good buy though, lots of body work done. will be arranging to get this thats for sure, even if not running 100%....ill have to survive with the punishment of the 306 meridian... atleast a 205 will be easier and more interesting to work on than the turbo MR2 - never again! ha!

I sold it as a 1.6 8v to my mate, who decided he wanted to put a 16v into, which I did for him about 3 months ago.

He couldn't afford to do everything at once, so afaik, he sold it on, with a 2.0 16v gti6 engine, running well, everything else standard.

The wiring it has is not standard, it runs 2 separate looms, 1 for the sensors and the other providing power and earth for the gti6 ecu.

No idea what condition the body work car is in now but it wasnt the best when I sold it. But there was no rust on it when I sold it

Thanks for the info, from what iv seen the body work looks ok. I'm getting more pics today I hope. It's got an issue with the clutch pedal engaging due to the guy changing a gearbox, don't think that'll be too hard to fix... I'll see once the pics are through, he says it runs well...
