Side Repeaters

Hi all. I'm wanting to take off the horrid side repeaters on my car and return them to standard.

 

I bought some on flea bay which looked llke this on the advert

 

 

 

When they arrived they are missing the black plastic surround. Are they needed? The ebay seller said they are two types of side repeaters. Is he talking BS?

All standard orange ones had the black surround I think. Phase one might be different. Clear aftermarket ones don't come with the black part.

I put the black bit on my clear ones.

i got a set brand new ones from pug last week both came with rubber seal

There is actually a few different types, some don't seem to have the rubber but can be added, other earlier ones are a different size etc.

I would personally say though that regardless of there being multiple types, if they advertise showing the black surround then that's what they should supply.
