Recommended Posts

Helo

I had buy a gaz coilovers on Group Buy. I had assemble it and I don't know how to tight a nut on the top on rod. The problem it's because I can't fix a rod and when I would tight a nut, they rotate toghether. How had you resolve this problem?

Thank you

Dario

Is this the top nut? where on the standard strut you can use an Allan key to hold it as you tighten it? I had to borrow a cheap battery powered impact wrench

Picture speaks a thousand words:

Might need a 'swan-neck' spanner to fit in the top mount?

yes, the top nut which fix the bearing and the top mount. On gaz I can't use a Allan key because it's some nut to adjust the hardnes.

Yeah you need an impact wrench which does the nut up really quickly, it caught me out as well :(

Sorry, didn't realise

Install guide says to use a windy gun, so guess that is the only option!

There's small spanner flats on there if they are as per your picture, use those.

I can't use spanner flats because I must tight before a nut for 10 screws or more.....
