What was the car they were restoring in this episode? MGB?

restoring

In the most possible loosest sense of the word. Ever. In the world. Ever ever.

What a dissapointment this series is. It could be so much better. The staged shouting by Bernie, and when Mario *accidentally* dropped the windscreen from the ford mustang, which was clearly not a mustang windscreen, i switched off. There is no screen time showing any restoration work thats been done. One minute a hole in the floor pan, next a repaired and undersealed floorpan. Rubbish.

This show is utterly terrible - the staged shouty arguements are deplorable and cringeworthy. The 'things going wrong' are also staged - they cut the leaf springs on the MGB then argued about someone not doing their job properly.

The actual restoration work is a bodge when it actually happens.

I don't know who this show is supposed to appeal to, anyone into cars must see if for a load of sh1te. I watched 1/2 of the MG episode then turned off and vowed never to watch again (unless there is a 205 episode - but only then to shout at the TV).

I did spot the 205 in the barn though.

I agree that the shows a let down. I was expecting real restoration work, showing how it's done not staged arguments. The work is utter crap by the looks of it too I remember seeing dodgy over spray and badly maked up panels. I was hoping for something like Wheeler Dealers.

Also did anyone notice on that episode the bright orange bumper? Which was from the Porshe the "restored" a week before? So all this talk about meeting deadlines is also utter crap.

I watched the 911 episode, utter pish

There is only one car resto program I can still watch, Overhaulin with chip foose. The prank side if thinks annoys me a little, but I've not seen a car they have done that hasn't been done properly

I was about to say, overhaulin is the best of a bad bunch, I think I watched every episode over a matter of weeks when I was between jobs a year or so ago.

I watched one the of these classic car rescue episodes the other day where they did a 50's caddilac. The majority of the floor was rotten through and they only showed about 5 seconds of footage of them repairing it!

they also 'accidentally' sprayed the whole car the wrong colour without anybody noticing, then did the bernie shouting bit.

I quite like 'a car is reborn' and the other similar ones, cos they show you pretty much everything in detail, even if you do have to sit through whatshisfaces unfunny jokes

The inconsistances on wheeler dealers also annoys me. They did an american truck in the last series and made it sound like not a lot needed doing.

When it was done the chassis had been completely restored and painted which would have taken days but they didn't mention it!
