I think edd n mike should do a french series and redo another 205, maybe a conversion but done properly this time. Its clear they knew nothing of our iconic hot hatch.

I still watch them, they deserve some credit for the amount of different cars they've put back on the roads.

I never watched it, hope its repeated.

Is this classic car rescue? Possibly the worse car program to grace our TV screens.

He painted a old 911's calipers orange - when they were on the car!

yes, with an inch brush then proceeded to touch up the front arch with it afterwards!!

after thinking it was a "cut and shut" seemed clear to me that the bonnet had probably flpped up damaging the scuttle panel and judging by the amount of contour paste (gobbo) in the roof. awful over dramatised viewing.

I really hope this is a joke;

'Fantastic program. Simply stunning work by Bernie and the team. How these guys take a wreck of a car, fit only for the scrapyard, and then turn it into a concours example of the marque is beyond me. I will never have the skills these people have so can only watch brilliant programs such as these in awe of the talent on show. Once again, thank you Channel 5 for allowing us a brief insight into professional car restoration.'

It took them a day to fix the leak on the MGB , errr a day to tighten the jubilee clip

Soo much potential that programme but sadly how wrong can you get it .....

Theres a lot of people leaving comments on ch5.com saying how they can do a better job. Im quite grateful that there is a car programme on instead of the usual reality junk. However, im getting sick of this staged arguments and fiasco rubbish. Honestly do people really buy it?

Has anyone watched mark evans? he does a great job.

bernies a complete wankoor (thats american for w*nker) and that yank aint much better.

40yrs working on cars and he's scraping the carbon off the porsche dizzy?? wtf just get a new one?

chuck a load of bondo and paint over it in typical yank fashion along the same lines of banglor bangers.

did make me want to buy a mgb and chuck a decent engine in it and some better running gear tho

as above, mark evans is much better but like all tv programs it still staged to an extent.

still they are all better than x factor.

Although Mark Evans resoration programmes etc are staged to a point (more to make it interesting as opposed to entertaining), I generally get the impression he does the hard work and to a high standard without taking shortcuts.

I caught the Porsche "cut & shut" episode on 5 about a week ago and have since added this show to my "turn the TV off and find something else to entertain yourself" list if ever it comes on.
