Bsi Unit Problems(106 Not 205)

Recommended Posts

Right i know its not a 205 but i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. The g/f has bought a 106 with an immobilizer fault (no fuel pump and no spark) .Now i know the way around this is to buy an unlocked ecu .But i was wondering if anyone had any luck unlocking ecu`s without using the usual methods of getting it running then unplugging the bsi unit.

Or if anyone could point me in the right direction of getting a schematic of the bsi ?.I presume there only going to be a switch so to speak I.E not a CAN system .So it should only have 12v in the right place to unlock the ecu.

Ive searched the internet but cant find much on it so thought id ask on here to see if any of the peugeot guru`s could help

As far as im aware its called a bsi.Its a little black box a standalone unit not built into the fusebox etc like some of the later peugeots from what i can gather anyway .If its not called a bsi i guess its just an immobilizer unit but all the lads on the 106 and saxo clubs seem to call it a bsi

Just the immobiliser box, no canbus on a 106 ever afaik though late ones do have 3 plug engine ecu's and run a few dash functions through that
