I agree that if you know of any non standard part or accessory fitted to your car, even an optional extra, declare it to your insurance.

 

Especially if it enhances or changes the look of the model compared to another standard model of the same car.

 

The way motor insurance has changed recently due to injury claims etc means anything they notice which isn't normal will give them reason to try to drop a claim so its definately a better safe than sorry situation.

 

In truth, if they really wanted to be pedantic, any tyre brand other than oe fitment is a change away from oe spec but that would

really be nit picking if they tried to use it as a reason to refuse settlement.

 

What are uprated breaks, free chocolate digestives?
