Opinions On A 205

In the pics it doesn't look too bad except the sorrento coloured wheels!! It has been for sale for months and months though......

Maybe someone more local on here could go and see it for you, save an 8 hour round trip!!

Its hardly robbing, otherwise every shop/seller/manufacturer in the world is robbing you.

You buy cheap, sell for more - its unlikely it'll sell at that price and if it does good luck to him.

Par for the course these days i'm afraid, they're getting bought up cheap by traders to be sold on at a profit!

I don't see the problem, basic rules of life, buy low sell high, at least the car is still in one piece as there are plenty of folk buying them and selling them in bits who are probably selling a much worse example of a 205 for more or less the same amount of cash as is being asked for that one.

Fair comments but over over 100% profit is rediculous lol. It does look very nice though and i had to laugh at the comment about the mint seat bolster, i noticed that too.

Very few people sell a car for the price they list it.

For that money i would be expecting new siem lights on the front, they are not in great condition. I would pay £1800 tops for that car imo.

Don't hurry with buying, something appears when you least expected.

On pics car looks pretty good but to double the money and more its too much.

In UK is great offer of gti's so you have to be patient

Scout the local papers too sometimes they come up trumps ..

Any pics of the engine bay ? etc

well knowing they paid that for it , you have got a good bartering tool

Oh its not robbing folk tho making money , sounds like they sold it too cheap before

judging by the original owners description it needed paint which has been done by the look of it,the car clearly had a few small problems that the original seller didnt have the time, money or desire to fix so sold it quite cheaply,if the car is as good as it looks now i dont think that is really expensive for a low miles genuine ltd edition, when you see the 5k+ pricetags that some of the classic car traders slap on 205's and seem to sell,i think the seller will have a bit of flexibility on his price though, but being a trader he will want to make a wage lol, maybe 3-500 quid range i would think he would take close to 3k

I'd worry about the paint, A cheap spray job will be dire in a couple of years, The amount of 205's I see like this now if horific and sorting out the cheap spray job over the orginal gone bad job will cost even more.

Those wheels need to go too
