much the same as a 207/307/308 non independent coil sprung, same as VW golf's Astra's etc had been for years, same as the Newest Civic too afaik.

You are correct, i just meant the 'exclusive satin pearlescent white paint' they are using isn't an original white - couldn't they have used alpine/bianca white instead? A genuine 205 colour! (or even better, laser green - which i know isn't an original colour, but it is the best!)

really? Not an original colour? Is the best :)

By original I meant not available at launch.

That marketing twaddle about Golfs really annoys me. Total load of old guff. My 13 year old Alfa 166 has a far superior door closing action.

VW seem to be trading on their reputation from the 70's and 80's when their cars were solidly built, simple, hardy and reliable. However, since about the mk3 golf era i don't think that it the case at all anymore - judging by how many friends/family i have seen have problems with mk4/mk5's.

one big problem, they don't make SL434's in a large enough size for the 208  they're not in proportion to the car in those images ;)

Im sure peugeot could get a bigger set made! :D Not sure what the sl434s would look like scaled up lol. Might look good on scaled up sl299s? As they might suit its bigger bulk better than the 434s
