alexcrosse 124 Posted September 26, 2012 So I have torn out all the original wiper witchcraft and I am trouble shooting why it doesn't work how I have wired it. The missing piece of the puzzle that I have not had the information for is the wiper stalk... Does anyone had a wiring diagram for the wiper stalk including the 8 million outputs off to the wiper relay and wiper motor?... actual internal switches - not just pin numbers as I am not using the stalk any more. Cheers, Alex
Cameron 16 Posted September 26, 2012 Why not copy the loom I gave you? It all worked on my car so I'm sure if you trace the wires you'll be able to work out what's supposed to go where. Failing that, couldn't you copy your old OE looms?

Cameron 16 Posted September 26, 2012 You can still apply the same logic though, can't you? The wiper stalk is just a switch after all.. work out the wiring going to that and apply it to your funny switch thing.

alexcrosse 124 Posted September 26, 2012 Because if someone has already got a diagram it would save me a job...
Cameron 16 Posted September 26, 2012 You don't need a stalk, or a diagram for one.. with a bit of investigation you can get all you need to know from the loom I gave you and my world's most colourful wiring diagram, trace the wires and work out which circuits you need to close. If you think a wiper stalk is a faff, you should try deciphering the whole instrument cluster!
alexcrosse 124 Posted September 26, 2012 Did you use a wiper stalk? You didn't need to decipher the whole cluster, there is an internal diagram with full labels in the haynes manual section 12.15.
Cameron 16 Posted September 26, 2012 I had to because I wasn't using the original fusebox and don't trust Haynes manual wiring.. they're generic diagrams and quite often don't relate to what you see on the car. I did use a wiper stalk, but if I didn't I'd do exactly what you should be doing now and get my multimeter on the one I have in the garage to work out which circuits need to be closed for which function. I seriously doubt anyone will have a diagram for the stalk, so you're going to have to be inventive with what you have.
alexcrosse 124 Posted September 26, 2012 That... and you said to me in person that there wasn't a diagram, but anyway. I don't have one in the garage, hence why I'm asking on the forum... otherwise I wouldn't ask obviously.
