Rear Beam Trailing Arm Shafts Stuck!

Recommended Posts

katmav

Has anyone had the misfortune of the trailing arm shafts being seized in the cross tube at a rediculous angle? The cars been sat for a while and I've somehow managed to remove the trailling arms and left the shafts behind! Please advise if I'm wasting my time trying to continue???

Yes, you're wasting your time. The tube and shaft will be scrap.

thankfully not encountered this too many times, but they were indeed very dead.

the fact it has been sat will not have been a contributing factor at all, it would have been very dead before it got parked up.

As said when this does this don't even bother tube will be scrap. Best bet is to find a second hand beam or rebuilt one.
