Car Cover

Recommended Posts

tartanbloke

Good evening,

It has come to that time of the year that the old girl needs to be put under cover as the garage is full of non car stuff (four kids) and purchased a tailored car cover from Specialised Covers http://www.specialisedcovers.com/

I would fully recommend this as it fits brilliantly, looks goods and even has straps to stop it from blowing around in the wind. Totally happy with the purchase and have no qualms about the price given the high quality. Pictures attached for review.

Regards

Not cheap but a quality cover. I've seen some that have damaged the paint during long term exterior storage.

I had one that cost about 60 quid and it was fine until a foot of snow sat on it for a couple of weeks and the folds in the cover marked the paint. In fairness it all polished out easily. Other problem I found is it didn't let the car breathe (despite being supposedly breathable) so upon removing in the spring there was a load of mould I had to get rid of :(

Interested in other experiences and covers as would like one myself that doesn't do the above!

I think one that doesn't touch the car would be good

Looks good - i've been meaning to get hold of a top cover for my 205 to minimise the amount of water that could get past the rear window seals this winter. Sadly a full cover is out of the question as i need to use the car fairly regularly so the full covers would be a nightmare to have on & off every day :(

Classic additions are very good,£150 iirc.

Have heard good reports for Halfords covers that cost £60!
