Driving Lights Staying On.

All of a sudden tonight. When I turn on my dipped lights, normal headlights, my driving lights come on. But my headlights stay on only as side lights.

 

If I select full beam all lights come on. Headlights on full beam.

 

When I go down to side lights the driving lights turn off.

 

When I select full beam I don't get the 'double click' to put them on and off. They go one and off one one click.

 

Hopefully I will just need a new light stalk.

 

Do you think the same of could it mean more?

Give your earth blocks a wiggle, the ones in the engine bay near the headlights.

 

I had the same problem recently and turned out to be the earth block being severly corroded

Gave the plugs a good clean and it's almost sorted.

 

I now have the driving lights staying on for about 2 seconds after I turn off full beam on the light stalk.

 

Any ideas anyone?

Still sounds like an earth problem.

I had a broken wire on my headlight plug which caused the driving lamp to do odd things. Fixed that and it sorted the problem. Earth problems are mind boggling
