Sandy

The rights on the name lapsed briefly a while back, I was tempted to try and nab it! But no doubt it's being saved for some sort of special edition with designer rust and even poorer build quality.

The last true Talbot to be developed, was the 309 really. It was developed as a Talbot product, working title "Arizona" to replace the Horizon, with the same engines. Before it went to market, the 205 had gone on sale and revived Peugeot's uk image enough for the Talbot brand to seem pointless and they decided to pull it. The Arizona was a market ready car and to recoup costs, they hastily re-branded it to replace the 305. And the most perfect Peugeot chassis in living memory was accidentally born, complete with Talbot (Simca derived) engines.
