Gti6, Emerald And Jenvey Itbs But Which Inlet Cam?

Recommended Posts

stuRALLYE

Hello everyone,

I'm sure this has been covered and I have tried to search but I only have access to the Internet on my phone at the moment which is making it tricky!

Im currently converting from mi16 to gti6 and I have some jenveys to go on with emerald management, and I'm hoping to drive it every day once it's done.

So basically what I'm asking is what inlet cam (&exhaust?) would people suggest to gain the best driveability and/or power whilst still keeping the engine useable everyday? I really don't want to start doing too much headwork at this stage, but would it be advisable to renew the valve springs whilst the engine is out?

Thanks for your help!

you are quite limited due to the minimal space available at TDC with the standard pistons, you can have them deepened a little, 1mm IIRC, but any further than that requires an aftermarket piston.

lots of info here

the Mi is so much easier to work with in this respect.
