Bodging A Be1 Clutch Cable To A Be3

hi there was exploring the possibility of bodging my be1 cable into a be3 to save the need of buying a new cable and pedal and other faffing lol so was just wondering how to extend it or what is involved in doing it a few people have told me its easy and not much of a 'bodge' ive got no idea on how to do it please help thanks guys

Why on earth would you want to bodge it when the correct parts are cheap and easy to fit?

 

I don't understand some peoples thought processes, I really don't.

buy new cable, mod the hole on the pedal to a hook, job done.

 

new cable is about £15-20.

 

may need to mod the hole in the bottom of the pedal box, depends on the fitting for the old one.

I guess if you don't have the mechanical aptitude to make a new adjusting nut, or know someone with a lathe, you'll need to buy a new cable and modify the pedal. Personally, I'd rather screw a new nut on the end of the cable rather than fiddle about upside down under the dash, etc.

ok no worries guys was just looking into it i think it was petert who said for me to bodge it originally will just change pedal and cable just waiting for a loan to go throught to buy all my parts

i know mate was jsut looking into it to save a few quid but if its not going to be worth it i might aswell do it properly
