205Less, First Time In A Long Time

Recommended Posts

Well, just taken taken a nice wad of cash for the XS :( first time I've been without a 205 since I past my test 5 years ago.

Didn't think I was so attatched to this one as the Rallye but I'm really sad to see it go, makes it worse I didn't want to sell it, just need money for winter plan!

Won't have another till next April!

Its actually really hard to watch some drive off in a car I've built, but yer considering the market I got strong money.

On that note it really annoys when people ask me if I made money! NO thats not why I do it!

I was watching it on ebay, one of the best ones on there IMO. You never know you might even be able to buy it back when you return, stranger things have happened. And if not, you can have the pleasure of building another without the issue of 'damn I've got too many cars on the drive'!

Cheers John, without sounding big headed I was very happy how it turned out and the quality of work! The line of work I'm in now won't allow to build another for a few years, I'm on the look out for a standard Laser GTI next year - going to keep it that way!

One of spiky's Miles, The tacho had always done funny things - with bits soldered in and without! So I gave up on that and sent him to you!

Yeah, fair play Ali, i always admired both of your cars and the work you did- although i might be controversial in saying that i prefered the XS. Probably because it was more of a sleeper than the rallye.

At the end of the day you can't let what it ultimately just a piece of metal get in the way of other plans, there will be other cars - a laser gti sounds like a good choice. You never love a car like your first though - still have mine sitting on the drive looking lonely. :(

Either way i hope you come back with a vengeance and give us another nice project to watch, even if it doesnt involve 16 valves.

Sam
