8Mm Fuel Hose Robbery

I have just been to car spares to buy 1m of 8mm fuel hose, the guy put the hose on the counter an said £16 please. I nearly fell over with the shock then told him to stick it, I will never go there again.

Trouble is that most factors (at least around here) don't seem to do fuel injection hose anymore - f*** knows why, its carb stuff or nothing. Maybe he knows that! When i needed some recently i had to stomach halfords because every factor looked at me as if i was mad "Haven't sold that in years!" was all i got back.

Just managed to buy some online for £2.45, It realy does make me mad when people try to rip me off.

(8mm is correct for some applications btw, such as Mi16's and Jenvey's, but needs a different banjo for the fuel filter)

I have relaced the front to rear fuel pipes with 8mm copper nickle pipe, just needed the rubber hose to connect up to the fuel tank.

Make sure what you have bought online is actually decent injection hose.

I have to laugh when i first bought my car some sod had piped half the fuel line in green garden hose and jubille clips, it was leaking like hell! It all gone now but when i think of the times i'd been smoking near it, bloody hell!

When i had a ford turbodiesel 1.8 the return pipes between injectors were really perished and the dealers sent me to vauxhall dealers who charged me £20 for 1 metre of exact same stuff that the op wanted but i needed it there and then it was leaking so badly robbin feckers
