V6 Conversion Coolang Gauge

Has anyone thats done the conversion managed to get the water temprature gauge working acurately? Mines connected one pin from the dash and the other pin to earth, but the gauge seems to rise very quickly. i had the car running yesterday and after less than 5 minuites the gauge had risen to 3/4 but the fan hadnt kicked in.

Just use the original 205 ones, they fit fine or did in the one I built, But the temps are slightly higher than what you would expect if driven around town
