Very long time since any updates here too.

 

Beeing a father takes a lot of time, so cars are not a high priority.

 

However now after both the 205s seem to be free from oil leaks from both engine and gearbox, I decided to try to sort out the T16 too. It most likely has a hockey stick seal leaking too.. in addition to some strange leak from the gearbox, which I suspect might be due to the lack of any main gasket, I just used sealant instead like on the BE gearbox, but maybe the ME5 is more prone to leaks? Anyway I still just got to try to seal it with sealant, but maybe a different type this time.

 

It is incredible how much work it is to take the T16 to pieces compared to the 205s :(

Mounted the cap with the hockey seals some days ago. Cut them to length yesterday evening, but I really can't find any indications that they actually schrink overnight.

 

Also put the main seal back in again, I think this might have been bottomed out last time it was mounted, so it may well that was the cause of the oil leak for all I know.

Tried to keep quite far out now so it won't touch the wearmark on the crank.
